Tip to make the most of your day

Take the first boat of the day to arrive before the island gets crowded. Spend the morning at the beaches and snorkeling when the water is calmest. Have lunch at one of the village restaurants and use the afternoon to explore the walls and the historic center. Check the return schedules before leaving to ensure you don't miss the boat.

Common questions about what to do in Tabarca

A full day is enough to see the essentials: beaches, snorkeling, the village, and a meal. If you take the first departure and return on the last one, you have about 6-7 hours on the island—plenty of time to enjoy it without rushing.
There are points on the island where you can rent snorkeling gear, though they can run out of stock during high season. The most convenient option is to bring your own mask and snorkel from home.
Yes, Tabarca is perfect for families. Levante Beach has calm, shallow waters ideal for children. Children under 4 travel for free on the catamaran, and the island is small enough to explore on foot without tiring them out.
Sunscreen, a towel, snorkeling mask, water shoes for rocky areas, water, and some cash for restaurants. There are shops on the island, but prices are higher than on the mainland.
There is no ATM on the island. Bring cash from Santa Pola—while many restaurants accept cards, some small bars and shops only take cash.
