Nueva Tabarca Catamaran
The Nueva Tabarca Catamaran is a twin-hull vessel with a capacity for 250 passengers. Recently refurbished, it offers exceptional comfort and safety for the 25-minute journey between Santa Pola and Tabarca Island.
It is the only boat on this route that makes a stop at the Tabarca Marine Reserve — Spain's first marine reserve — so passengers can observe the seabed through glass-bottom windows without getting wet.
Underwater Vision Included
with All Tickets
Midway through the journey, the catamaran stops for a few minutes in the Tabarca Marine Reserve. Passengers can head down to the 4 submerged glass-viewing ports to observe the local flora and fauna without the need for diving equipment.
This stop is completely free and included with your ticket. No other company on this route offers this experience.
Two decks to enjoy the crossing
Interior — Stability & Comfort
The main deck features 124 seats. This is the most stable part of the boat — ideal for those prone to seasickness or traveling with small children. This deck also houses the bar, toilets, and access to the underwater viewports.
The temperature remains pleasant year-round, protected from the wind and direct sunlight.
Exterior — Panoramic Views
The upper terrace accommodates 126 passengers. It’s the perfect area to enjoy the Mediterranean breeze, watch the island approach, and take photos of the coastline.
On sunny summer days, the terrace is the most popular area. We recommend arriving a bit early to secure your spot.
